Tender Sweet Peas!

It is funny how they put labels on baby food like tender and sweet!  Isn't it all just mushy and yucky!  Well not to Kate.  She had her first encounter with cereal and loved it.  Now she has branched out to pears, peas, beans, sweet potatoes, squash, bananas and peaches.  She is enjoying the cereal and the added attention from the girls!  I think she looks so cute and grown up in her little high chair!

Bubble time!

I can recall spending hours in the tub with my two sisters Shauna and Karen.  We would make all sorts of concoctions with soap and water pretending it was dinner.  But our very favorite thing was to rub soap all over a wash cloth and blow through the other side to make bubbles.  I had never taught this to the girls before and decided it was time to let them join in the fun.  After an hour of fun they were left with really clean faces and a tub full of cloudy soapy water.

Sunshine!

Today is a beautiful day.  No thunder over head, just beautiful sunshine coming in my window!  It is as if the darkness of winter has been lifted away! 

House is unpacked and ready for visitors!

Roots or Wings?

Is it better to have roots or wings?  I have asked myself this question many times.  Both have benefits, I am sure.  But these are a few things I have learned using my wings.  

Never a dull moment.

New scenery all the time.

No spring cleaning, you just fly off before it's time.

Traveling light.  (I could learn a lot more in this department)

A chance to add loved ones to the circle.

Learning to make friends easily.

Appreciation of the view.

Clip  my wings or give me roots and I may change my mind, but as for now, I think I will enjoy the flight!

Trucker Lady!

About 2:30 today we realized that Jeremy's license expired on Monday.  I shoved him in the car to run and get it.  Then I called the DMV to find out exactly where it was only to find out that they aren't open on Fridays!  We tried to fudge it past the truck rental place, but of course they noticed.  So guess who was next in line to drive?  Me!  Our entire marriage Jer has always teased me about my driving.  And well, I guess I have been know to hit a curb or two or ten or more!  I got in that big old moving truck and laughed the whole way home.  I was pretty scared so I figured if I just kept laughing it would be better.  By the time I got home I was thinking that maybe I could strap the kids in a Semi and become a trucker for some extra dough!  So, if you see a big 24 foot "Budget" truck driving around this weekend, stay off the curb.  Better yet, stay off the sidewalks too!  Again I say, where did those Jr. Mints go???

I would rather pluck every hair of my head one by one and slam each finger in the car door multiple times than move or do taxes.  No wonder I am ready for a break down.  I am doing both taxes and moving this week!  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  Where are those Jr. Mints????  Unfortunately I packed them already!

A good read!

Lilah has taken up her Daddy's habit!  She loves to read on the potty.  Whatever it takes, we don't care what, as long as she goes there!  She is doing so well and hasn't had an accident in several days.  Who knew our little menace could be so good!
