Tenting it!

Just before summer ended we managed to get a few more things checked off our list. Sleeping in a tent was among them! Daddy joined us for the bed time activities, songs and stories before going off to sleep inside. He claimed it was so he could keep an ear out for baby Kate, but we know better. He was too scared to brave the wild outdoors of the back yard! Everyone slept well and we loved testing out our new tent!

Twilight of Summer!

I see it coming. The dreaded end of summer. I know it's there, looming but we have yet to complete "The List". At the beginning of summer the kids and I created a list of all the fun things we wanted to do this summer. We have had non stop fun checking off things on our list. So much fun that I know we have missed adding several checks we should have! However, there are still a few things we haven't accomplished. Sleeping on the tramp, sleeping in a tent and fishing are the only ones left. We better get going so we can say we completed our summer bucket list! Did I mention I LOVE summer!!!

What happens in Vegas......

It was no secret. I needed a break. So when Jer had some business in Vegas, he knew it was in his best interest to arrange for me to go along. So off to Grandma and Grandpa the kids all went and we were on our way.

The drive alone was pure heaven. Having each others undivided attention for 6 hours to talk and relax was enough to put me in relaxation mode. The rest of the week was spent sipping diet coke by the pool, eating at the Wynn buffet, walking around the sites and taking in a few movies. Now that we're back home, the kids are soo much cuter and I feel like I can face each new day.

Thanks to both my parents and Jeremy's for taking the girls and spoiling them so they felt like they had their own mini vacation. Lagoon, playing with cousins, McDonald's, The Treehouse Museum, Ice Cream they sure were spoiled!

Thanks to my neice Lexi for capturing these fun family moments. You can visit her Photography blog here:

Packages

Got a package the other day. Had the most peculiar thing in it.

It loves to play outside, plunk on the piano keys, get up on the bar any chance it can, sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider," implant Mommy proof viruses on the computer, eat - a lot, poop at least 5 times a day (sometimes after it takes it's own diaper off), take a tubby, and thankfully sleep once in a while!

Toola

I can't believe our little Toola is graduating from Pre-school. She has always been so mature but now that she is headed for school, I am not sure I want to accept it. Kayla is our little fashion diva. She loves putting her outfits together and coming up with what style to put in her hair. If you ever want to hear a real hardy giggle, just say something funny around Kayla. Her infectious smile and laugh will bring joy to any heart. Kayla loves to play with her sisters' Neeley and Lilah and will look after Kate very well. She also loves to play with her friends Emeree and Gage as well as her cousin and friend, Cade. Our easy going, free spirit is happy most of the time unless you let her get tired. And then......it's get back and take cover!

Congratulations Kayla on a successful year with Miss Vickie. You know your numbers, letters, sounds and a whole lot more. Now its on to the big K!

Havarti Cheese

Dad with Aunt Loretta and Uncle Ken
Jen and Ryan
Cousin Jodi with Scott
Kate, looking for mischief

Memorial day has always been called Lagoon Day in Jeremy's family, but this year the weather caused us to make an exception. Luckily we didn't have to miss out on the picnic lunch just because of a little cold and rain! In any case, it was fun to spend time with family and enjoy the chocolate chews. The hot tub was filled with kids most of the day, giving adults a chance to chat. Oh, and did I mention the havarti cheese? (That ones for you Ryan!)
