Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with carrots and apples!
We have been trying to teach our kids to be more independent and help around the house. I have been preparing Neeley for months that soon she could learn to make a sandwich. She just couldn't wait to get started and finally the day came, we had our first lesson. Then it was dry run time. I asked her if she could make lunch while I ran up and had a shower (Now that is what I call multi-tasking!). To my pleasant surprise, I came down to lunch on the table. Can I just say it really did taste like heaven. With her vacuuming the upstairs, taking out the trash and now making lunch I am catching a glimpse of what this is all about. Now on to babysitting.... (I can dream!)

Can she come to my house next and show Alexis? : )
Amen Sista. I love that my kids are helping out. Some days I have Lex do a bathroom, Jackson empty trash, Collin unload the dishwasher, and Izzy put away all the shoes. Wow... what is left for me to do? I guess I'll go and read my book. J/K... if only all the wash, cooking, bill paying etc. could be farmed out as well. Then I'd really be set!
I hear ya on the ol "pitch-in-kids" routine. I love it. I've even got the girls folding my kitchen towels now. Neeley looks very grown up and responsible!
